On Thursday this week I got the chance to chat with Adam Holzman, American keyboard player, member of Steven Wilson’s band, collaborator with Nick Beggs and Craig Blundell for Trifecta and one time member of Miles Davis’ band.
The interview was really a chance to talk about everything and anything with one of the prog world‘s greats. We discussed the new record by Trifecta, working with Nick Beggs and Craig Blundell, how he got the Steven Wilson gig, and of course, the Miles Davis connection.

Born in 1958 and son of Jac Holzman, founder of Elektra Records, there was never any doubt that he’d end up immersed in music. Of course, his dad signing The Doors and knowing Leon Russell would be a huge influence on him.

The New Normal by Trifecta is out on 12th April 2024. Available on Limited edition white 2 LP / CD / 2 LP and digitally – with pre-orders available here: https://TrifectaKscope.lnk.to/The_New_Normal
